9u-14u Rules

Sporting News Rules along with USSSA Handbook applies with the following options:

 

    1. Divisions are based upon player’s age as of year (2017 league age as of April 30th, 2017)
    2. Coaches are allowed outside the dugouts during the game.  However, they will be called for interference when applicable.
    3. All games 9u thru 12u are 6 innings or a time limit of 1:45 hours with a drop dead 2:00 hours.  If the home team is leading and time expires they may continue to bat to the drop dead of 2:00 hours.  Exception: If the run differential listed below is met prior to the 1:45 hours a team may concede or play to a drop dead of 2:00 hours. If play continues, the final score of the game shall revert back to the score when the team reached the run differential.
    4. All games 13u & 14u are 7 innings or a time limit 2:00 hours with a drop dead 2:15 hours.   If the home team is leading and time expires they may continue to bat to the drop dead of 2:15 hours.  Exception: If the run differential listed below is met prior to the 2:00 hours a team may concede or play to a drop dead of 2:15 hours.  If play continues, the final score of the game shall revert back to the score when the team reached the run differential.

    5. During the playoffs, there will be NO DROP DEAD.
    6. 14U Division must use BBCOR or WOOD bats.
    7. Teams may play an official game with an eight (8) player line-up. If a team plays with an eight (8) player line-up, an out shall be declared for the ninth (9th) position in the batting line-up each turn at bat.

  1. Pitching rules are as follows:

    13U & 14U 7 11
  2. If a team cancels their regularly scheduled game, that game may not be rescheduled, nor is a refund given.  An extra game will be given to the team who was scheduled to play against the team who cancelled the game.
