Mike Evans has been part of the Las Vegas baseball community for almost 50 years. After playing Little League in Nellis AFB and Paradise Valley Little Leagues, Mike attended and played baseball at Chaparral High School. He continued his education at Columbia Southern University where he received an Associate's Degree in Fire Science and a Bachelors degree in Fire Service Administration. Mike served our community for over 31 years with Las Vegas Fire & Rescue. He retired in 2020 as a Fire Captain.
Before joining Vegas Valley Baseball, Mike was a coach and tournament director with Las Vegas Baseball Academy, where he was part of Mike Martin's team for over 20 years.
Mike has watched the baseball community grow over the years and he is excited to be a big part of where it is going. His oldest son, Brandon played at Coronado High School, Butte Community College and Colorado State at Pueblo and now works as a Paramedic with the Chicago Fire Department. His other son, Beau, is a great skateboarder, musician and artist who lives in Dallas, TX. When Mike isn't talking to coaches or coordinating his next event, he enjoys his retirement by traveling and playing golf.
