All approved models must comply, at all times, with the USSSA 1.15 BPF Bat Performance Standard and with the USSSA Protocol for Testing Baseball Bat Performance. Any unit that fails to comply with this Standard or the Protocol is Non-Compliant and is not permitted in USSSA-sanctioned play.
In addition to the requirement that a model must comply, in all respects, with the USSSA 1.15 BPF Bat Performance Standard, and with the Protocol, to be eligible for USSSA sanctioned play, the USSSA Certification Mark and other graphics on the bat must be applied permanently, and may only be applied by a current USSSA-licensed manufacturer. The use of stickers or decals is prohibited, and no additional graphics may be added to a bat after manufacturing. Using a bat with graphics not applied by the licensed manufacturer is an “altered bat”, subject to suspension under the USSSA Altered Bat rules.
Any unauthorized use, creation, or application of a USSSA mark without written permission from USSSA is a violation of federal trademark law and may result in prosecution by USSSA.
